If you’re both avoidant, try the ‘small steps’ approach! Instead of diving deep into emotional conversations (which can trigger both your avoidant tendencies), start with low-pressure interactions. Share memes, discuss neutral topics, or engage in parallel activities where you’re together but not intensely focused on each other.

i feel you! it’s wild how many of us share such similar experiences with soul shock. when it first hit me, i thought i was going completely off the deep end - like who gets THIS messed up over someone?
