Who "Invented" Twin Flames?

The idea has probably been around since the start of humanity, but the exact phrase ‘twin flames’ must be newer.

It’s at least back in the 1800s:

I read into the history of Twin Flames a while ago, and it went back a lot older than this, but there does seem to be a blank gap in history where it doesn’t get mentioned; I wonder why. Was Plato the oldest reference? I know there are some Bible verses that could be read as references to TFs as well.
