How do we know that separation is ending? Lately I have had this ~indescribable~ feeling that something in the air is changing. I keep seeing numbers like 111 and something is going to happen I just know it. I keep getting hit with waves of energy and he’s always on my mind when I can usually shut him out and get on with my day. What do I look for? How do I know?

Signs will be different for everyone, and the situation matters at least as much as the sign. There is a whole section here for external signs, in fact, but they are always general guidance not rules.
For me the biggest sign was our 3D contact started to happen more often and that happened because of the effort we both put in. There were other weird syncs but I tried not to focus on them too much allowing them to distract from what I knew was working.
Signs are nice but you might not even notice them at all if you’re focused on where you need to be focused.

For me, every time we get closer, I start to see their name or references to them in situations that have nothing to do with them. As others have said, try to avoid falling into the trap of focusing too much on these signs.

Sometimes, when you’re just going about your day and your twin flame pops into your head out of nowhere, it might be more than just a random thought. I’ve heard from a few people that this could be a sign they’re thinking of you, too, maybe even trying to reconnect. When your higher selves connect, it can show here, too.
It’s hard to explain, but you might start getting this gut feeling. Like a quiet certainty that something’s different. And then, when you least expect it, boom - there they are. This one is hard to explain, but (personally), I think the most significant sign is just the sudden optimism. Others have said intuition, but it is more like an inner… knowing.
I used to see 11:11 and other angel numbers everywhere and now silence. I think that can be a sign too that we have reached the next surrender stage.

Um, so… I’m not sure if this means anything, but… I used to love looking at the moon every night before bed. It was like, my thing, you know? But then, when my DM and I separated, it’s weird, but I just… couldn’t see the moon anymore. Like, at all. And I don’t know if I’m reading too much into this, but when he came back into my life recently, suddenly the moon was visible again? I mean, it could be a coincidence, right? But part of me wonders if there’s some kind of… connection?
